Cantine Edomé Aitna, homage to a volcano
Aitna 2008 Etna Doc Cantine Edomé, a dynamic and elegant Nerello that recites “its” mountain, the Etna volcano .
The area of Feudo di Mezzo it situated at an altitude of 700m above sea level on the northern slope of Mt Etna and inside an ancient, extinct crater. This is where the Cantine Edomé wine estate has an 80-year-old, alberello-trained vineyard that produces the Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio grapes for their wine Aitna.
Aitna was an ancient Greek settlement founded on the slopes of the volcano in 476BC and today its name has been given to a wine that is a homage to a volcano that is so fundamental for the nourishment of the grapes and is evident in the wine through its smoky and saline sensations.
