An anarchist rosé

From Cannonau grapes from the Orgosolo area comes this very colorful Rosato with great character. Credit is due to Peppino Musina, a "returning" winemaker.
Giuseppe Musina of Orgosolo is a winemaker of few words and subtle humor. Like so many Sardinians he has traveled the world (he speaks perfect, very British English having lived, among other things, 6 years in London and if you go to visit him, and you like him, he will tell you how he ended up there) to then return to his land and resume cultivating the family vineyards.
The vineyards, 2.5 hectares, ranging in age from 13 to 65 years, are located in the Locoe valley, on soils composed of granite breakdown sand, where the winery is also located, and in the Sorasi valley, at the foot of Supramonte. The main grape variety is Cannonau, the remaining 20 percent is divided between Carignano and Sangue di Cristo.
Peppino applies with great consistency the principles of biodynamics to which he adds a convinced non-use of sulfur and of course spontaneous fermentations, no filtrations and no temperature control. Production is about 9 thousand bottles and these wines are essential, juicy and surprisingly technical but above all they have character and unquestionable charm.

100% Cannonau. Affina in acciaio per 9 mesi. Rosso ciliegia brillante. Al naso è avvolgente con in primo piano, spezie e fragoline di bosco cui si aggiunge una particolare vena marina. Al palato è pieno, ricco ma succoso e di sorprendente beva. Il finale è di grande dinamismo e sapidità.
