The weather this year was cool which the estate said produced wines rich in acidity. Carmine Festa gave it a 3-4-star rating out of five.
The color was a truly youthful, lively and lucent ruby-garnet and the initial aroma was once again distinct and showed no sign of reduction. There were scents of cherry and dried fruit and the bouquet was very young although not that complex. With breathing a pleasing mineral/smoky note emerged. The salt and acidity stood out in the mouthfeel with a flavor of cinchona at the center of the mouth and the finish tended to be dry despite the freshness. The persistence of the aftertaste was wonderful. An excellent table wine.
