A decent version, in spite of the fact that the year was not particularly favourable, partly because Rubino vinified it with particular care in order to maintain its primary aromas. The colour is a very intense and lively ruby, with faint purplish reflections. The nose is fresh and elegant, with very positive citrus-like and sour cherry notes. It is quite full on the palate; the moderate acidity underpins well-structured fruit and the tannins are barely hinted at. Serve it at 18°C with typical pasta dishes of the Salento Peninsula with meat sauces or with salted pork dishes in general.
