Visellio 2004

An excellent version, the result of a well-balanced and decidedly worthwhile vintage. It has an intense, concentrated ruby colour and inviting, ethereal yet well-knit perfumes, with well-defined fruit offering sensations of sour cherries and even blood oranges. It is full-flavoured, rich without being heavy: the alcohol is well-integrated with the fairly well-balanced fruit. The finish is long and moreish. Serve it at 18°C with lasagne with meat sauce, a beef stew, or mature Caciocavallo Podolico cheese.
