A blend of 66% Pinot Noir and 34% Chardonnay with 20% of the wine fermented in truncated-conic oak vats. The rosé color comes from allowing the juice to macerate slightly on the Pinot skins. After spending some four years in the bottle, a 9g/l dosage is added but this is not noticeable. The bouquet is impressive and rich, elegant in the way it creates a symphony from floral notes of iris and orchids, fresh red mulberry and raspberry, navel orange and rose water on a delicate background of spice. The mouthfeel is profound with a triumphant impact and thanks to being thick and airy at the same time, the fullness and finesse are able to unite. The progression is gratifying and generous with notes of fresh black cherry, peach skins and bread crust to then close with a mineral sensation that brings back the overall balance with a saline and quenching freshness.
