Villa Pomona 2008

The town of Castellina in Chianti and the name of the estate are quite promising. Pomona, in fact, was the name of the goddess of fruit (from pomum=fruit)
The floral bouquet has violet and underbrush, earth and humus. Intriguing yet more suffused are the light citrus notes that are both in the nose and on the palate. The flavor has a discreet acidity and energetic and lively tannins. The finish is long and floral.
