Villa Medici 2013

This is a wine with a particular aroma which may make purists turn up their noses. The bouquet has citron, ripe olive and a touch of passion fruit as well as scents of gorse and medlar and even orange blossom. The mouthfeel is intense with a nice acidity and pleasing salty notes that are never invasive, while the texture harmonizes any aggressiveness. The finish is very consistent with the aroma.
