Vigneto Runcata 2011

This is made with only Garganega grapes and ages for a year in 15-hectorliter acacia wood barrels. It a more ‘international’ than the others, almost ‘Burgundy-esque’, with distinct notes of wood that in part cover those of fruit, yet offer a certain complexity. The aroma is slightly smok and has spicy scents, while the fruit is only in the background. The flavor is quite bold and, due to the hot year, lacks a touch in freshness and closes with a very evident alcoholic warmth.
