The dark, garnet color is partially illuminated by the wine’s reflections although light struggles to filter through. The aroma is overwhelmed by cherry glaze and jam, while overripe notes vanish into balsamic rivulets. With breathing emerge scents of roots and dried leaves. This first wine exemplifies it can defy time and it should be enjoyed for its extreme complexity and solemn structure as you mediate on what bottle aging as given it. This wine would have been perfect had the close not been so sharp. A very great and large winery.
