The color is a particularly dark copper, with bright reflections, that would appear to indicate the wine had 'cooked'. However, despite being particular reticent, there was no problem with the aroma. Furthermore, the flavor was surprisingly dynamic, snappy, lively, fruity. A very convincing version.
