Here again the color is not that bright, not enough to perceive the incredibly energetic character of the wine. The aroma has Williams pear surrounded by mineral traces, iron, or perhaps of spent coals. Next to this is a sweeter note, a more 'Mediterranean' one, of talcum and sweet almond. The mouthfeel is initially taut, less broad than the 2011, and with distinct depth. The energy and thrust are of a different category. The persistence is a real bomb.
