Vigna Vecchia 2006

Even in a controversial year like 2006 this small winery comes out on top. This is explained by the fact that the winery has a consolidated style and the owners really know how to interpret their grapes.  As always, the nose is based on the cleanliness and intensity of the fruit, with cherry dominating without being overbearing, and a spicy note from the wood. The taste is nicely dense, always upheld by harmonious tannins and a classic acidity that slims it down and makes it more drinkable. The finish is elegant and persistent with a return of eucalyptus and spice.
