It is possible to acquire small quantities of Rionda that have been aged in the winery for a longer period of time. These are called 'Dieci X Anni' (Ten X years). They are very full and compact - characteristics that over the years has become this wine's calling card - bark-like to the nose, black truffle, damp earth. The taste is warmer and more relaxed but the tannin still 'bites' and the finish is fresh, less expansive than expected. It tends to close into itself but above all it is still a little rigid. This vintage needs another couple of years.
