Made from Barbera grapes. In my modest opinion this has always been one of the best Barbera d'Alba wines. Its color is an intense and luminous ruby red, with slight purple reflections. The nose is typical, of violets and prunes with slightly smoky accents in the background. The taste is pronounced, savory, almost brackish, with lots of character. It develops warm and juicy, with a long and persistent finish.
