A red wine made from Montepulciano that ages in new and used tonneau barrels for around 18 months. It has a very dark and youthful ruby-violet color and immediately precise aromas, something not always true with wines made from Montepulciano that often need to ‘breathe’ in the glass. The bouquet has a very nice central note of black cherry followed by those of licorice and a touch of nutmeg. The mouthfeel is wonderful, meaty and even tasty, almost like a Colline Teramane wines, with responsive and fine tannins. The only thing lacking is that boost in the finish but it is still good and the pronounced fruity sensations make it almost like a Kurni made with grapes that have not raisinated.
