The estate’s Chianti Classico cru was made at the time with a 10% addition of Cabernet Sauvignon and aged for 18 months in barriques. This was a great, warm year and the wine has a bright yet dark ruby color with an incredibly young aroma with its notes of red fruit, cherry and currant, dark floral sensation and hints of graphite and blackberry and touch of licorice. The mouthfeel is textbook for complexity, progression and the quality of its elegant tannins, while the finish is sumptuous.
