Vigna del Generale 2007

The color is justly more evolved but less bright that the previous vintages. The wine is a little short on fruit to the nose, but not too evolved (dried flowers, leather). The attack is broad, substantial but dry to the palate, 'implosive'. The tannins are not rustic but leave the mouth dry. It is neither too extractive nor too dried out by the wood (which is well-used as in all the samples). It lacks a little juiciness. Ready to drink.
