Made with grapes from a single vineyard (that gives the wine it name), the wine ages 50% in used barriques for six months and the rest in steel. Its bold ruby color is a preview of an equally intense and unusual aroma with unique scents of lichees and bladder cherry (as well as peach) followed by floral whiffs of violet. The taste also has its own personality, nervous with an attack that is nervous and quite acidic, nicely pungent with rotund tannins. An intriguing wine at an excellent price.
