A slightly pale ruby-garnet color with an aroma of sweet spice, ripe red fruit like black cherry and a touch of medicinal herbs, with a rising sensation of licorice. The mouthfeel is warm, quite full, albeit not as much as the more recent vintages, with mature tannins and also a good acidity, making it a taut drop. A little simple yet very interesting.
