A rainy but above all cold year in which the grapes were harvested in November, a vintage we don't have great memories of and yet.... a golden straw color sightly gray (typical for this kind of wine at this age) but lively. The bouquet is immediately very open and clean with scents of botrytis bunch rot, pear, apricot, anise, camomile, soft and very lovely. The bitter scent of an aged Verdicchio (bitter almond, licorice) comes out as it breathes, without the nose losing any of its broadness. The taste is lively but just a tad monotonous, very fragrant, a finish which is almost 'Alsatian', a jam of apricot and ginger, very fruity but a bit still. Not very Collestefano but very good. To be drunk until 2015 but there is no reason to wait any longer.
