A year of high temperatures and an early harvest at Collestefano. Thecolors is of average intensity and not very developed. The bouquet opensimmediately and it not particularly hot: flint, lime, wheat, subtle morethan anything, but not alcoholic. The taste is broad and warm at firstimpact but not soft, in fact it is quite lively, full-bodied (a rarity),slightly burning in the middle. The finish is rotund, of malt, not juicy butnot burning. A rich wine but with a discreet vitality. Verdicchio often hasa 'sinusoidal' evolution and perhaps this is a good example. A couple ofyears ago it seemed less tired than it did today. We have no idea how longit was last for, but it is still good today and there is no reasons to waitany longer.
