This is the usual blend of the classic Corvina and Rondinella grapes but also with a little bit of Corvinone and Croatina. The color is an intense and deep red, it immediately hits the mark with a captivating aroma of ripe prune, officinal and aromatic herbs, shifting, at times, also towards a floral bouquet of violets, almost like a Sangiovese. The taste is creamy and vigorous. The alcohol is certainly not invasive but it does provide a feeling of warmth, as does its ample and varietal body. Upholding everything are tannins that are not commonplace. The sensation of cherry jam is nice. Close to excellent.
