Made by the Alto Adige's Loacker, which in Tuscany also makes wine in Montalcino, here is a Morellino that is 87% Sangiovese (aged in part in big barrels and in part in 500-liter tonneaux) blended with Cabernet and Syrah (aged in barriques). It has a nice ruby color with a smoky aroma of tobacco that then opens towards red fruit and eucalyptus. The taste is juicy, savory, with settled tannins, an intense progression and rich and elegant finish.
