Cantina Tramin, founded in 1898, was one of the first cooperatives in the region. It now has 290 members who ensure an authentic expression of a unique territory. The 100% Lagrein grapes ferment in oak barrels while malolactic fermentation and initial aging take place in barriques, after which it continues to age in big wood vats for 14 months. The color is a nice ruby with violet reflections, while the aroma is delicate and distinct with scents of ripe blackberry and prune, violet and juniper, eucalyptus and dark chocolate. The mouthfeel is full and intense, soft and pungent with body, a nice balance and distinct evolving tannins. The finish is long-lasting, spicy and mineral.
