A disturbing, mahogany color, the wine seems as thick as motor oil when it is poured into a glass. The aromas center above all on licorice, rhubarb and walnut husk. The mouthfeel is so incredibly sugary it is almost sticky and I must admit that a little more acidity would have made the wine easier to drink. An amazingly enormous wine.
