A warm and wet winter followed by a wet and cool summer. One third of the grape bunches were cut in July. During the harvest, sunny days were interrupted by unexpected rain with the quality of the grapes varied from parcel to parcel.
39% Cabernet Franc, 39% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Petit Verdot. Matured for over a year in barriques, some new. A dense, ruby color. The aroma is intense and persistant, ethereal, with scents of dark fruit, black currant, blueberry, blackberry, graphite and a feral nuance. The mouthfeel is fresh and taut with evident yet relaxed tannings balanced by acidity. The persistent finish is flavorful and fruity. Very drinkable.
