A hot year with a very low yield per hectare.
55% Cabernet Franc, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot. Spontaneous fermentation (natural yields) with malolactic fermentation taking place in new barriques before the wine is transferred to other new barriques to mature. A dark, ruby-garnet color. A very mature, evolved bouquet with notes of blackberry and mulberry, unexpected fresh whiffs followed by notes of charcoal and herbal hints. The mouthfeel has a fresh attack, very bold and rich, with an opulent yet balanced body as it progresses. The aftertaste recalls dried fruit.
Bottles produced: 3,600.
