A pure Cannonau wine aged in cement. It has a ruby red color that is not extremely compact with an edge which leans towards garnet. The nose is very intense, Burgundy-esque, permeated by scents of aromatic herbs (myrtle and the inevitable strawflower), cardamom and a particular balsamic component. The mouthfeel is rotund and bold as the wine caresses the taste buds with a delicate touch, while a lovely freshness dissuades any tendency towards sickly sweetness. The flavor strongly recalls Mediterranean brush scorched by the sun and it is very rich in balsamic and spicy notes.
