A neighbor of Yquem, this is a blend of Sauvignon and Semillon that has a golden-yellow color and medium density. The bouquet is a rich mélange with distinct notes of candied fruit and honey, dates and apricot with a trademark “moldy” aftertaste. The mouthfeel is decidedly sweet, but not sickly so, dense and very soft. Aging in the bottle has made this a wine to meditate upon.
