My favorite Sauternes, perhaps even more the Yquem. Only a few bottles were produced making this a very rare wine and aging for decades in the bottle it has given it extraordinary and unrepeatable aromas. The golden-yellow color has an hypnotic luminosity and the mixture of honeys made from different flowers create a variated aroma that is wonderful to interpret along with the typical notes of saffron, turmeric and candied orange peel. The mouthfeel has a unique sensuality and a bewitching roundness. Absolutely a moving wine to meditate upon.
