After the first indications of change in 2009 came this 2010 to make us all happy to find a wine that while new was still rooted in the beauty of the vineyard with a return to the freshness of 1995 even if the aroma was different. A lovely evolution in which the San Sisto vineyard comes out loud and clear through the balsamic notes and those of camphor, with a persistence that is lovely and once again has the acidity and saltiness that allow it to take off. There was also a return of the mid-October harvest, which were always the best.
The color is a clear, straw-yellow with young, green reflections. The complex aroma has a bouquet of floral notes, hawthorn, gooseberry, lime and acacia. This is balanced by a touch of vanilla and spices, without any excess of caramel notes. The mouthfeel is sober, distinct but with great attention to the acidity that upholds the texture which is always good yet not as muscular as in the past. The finish is intense and nicely consistent with the aroma without any excessive wood. The persistence is very good.
