San Sisto 2009

This is the showcase Verdicchio from the winery that made Verdicchio famous. It is fermented in wood and in cement and ages in wood. The color is a bright straw-yellow and from the start the aroma is opulent. The bouquet is of wilted flowers, gorse and camomile, yellow fruit, nectarine and whiffs of siliceous mineral, aromatic herbs and anise. The flavor is very soft, with a discreet acidity and a slight persistence of bitter almond.
