Although this is from one of the best vineyards of the entire denomination, this was a really unexciting performance: the worst of the many times I have tasted this wine. It stood out negatively because of a really too evident whiff of alcohol, which was hardly if at all counterbalanced by the other components, even if they were present. A wine of great power, but this time overly so.
