Sassotondo is the estate of Edoardo Ventimiglia and Carla Benini, authentic Ciliegiolo specialists and their San Lorenzo is always reliable. It ages in new barriques and has a garnet color and a bouquet of assorted spices, pepper and ripe red fruit. The mouthfeel is complex, textured, full-bodied, balsamic and savory.
