A very wet year, with the Merlot harvest moved up while the one for Carmenère was delayed. 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Carmenère, 10% Merlot. Matured 24 months in French oak barriques that are both new and used two and three times. A very intense ruby-garnet. The nose is ethereal and full, austere, with notes of pine resin, blueberry, currant, dark spice and tobacco. An elegant, aristocratic mouthfeel with fine and tight tannins, an excellent acidity and a body distinguished by a taut balance.
Bottles produced: 48,314; 2,500 half-bottles; 3,300 magnums; and 145 double magnums.
