A dry year with excellent diurnal temperature variations in August and September. 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Carmenère, 10% Merlot. Matured 24 months in French oak barriques that are both new and used two and three times. An intense and bright ruby color. The bouquet is balsamic, vegetal, with lovely notes of pine resin yet all together somewhat simple. The mouthfeel is taut, agile, with a medium body and tannins that are a tad exposed. The finish is fine and elegant.
Bottles produced: 55,046; 1,600 half-bottles; 3,081 magnums; and 200 double magnums.
