The color is still lively for an over-20-year-old Pinot Noir. Only a hint of wild strawberry jam remains in a bouquet now dominated by scents of humus and fine mushrooms, bark and autumn underbrush. The mouthfeel is still fresh, with fine and silky tannins creating a voluptuous caress to the palate and while the finish may truly be crepuscular it is extremely long.
