A limited edition that came out just before the change in winemaking methods introduced by Primo Franco (see introduction, ed.note). This was the product of year in which temperatures were still in the norm and allowed for harvest to take place in early October. The color is a bright, antique gold and the aroma is clear and broad with hints of tea, dried apricot, candied orange and ripe kiwi, barley candy and curcuma. It is interesting the way this sparkling wine has evolved, the effervescence is delicate but still there and the freshness remains despite an evident sweetness. The finish is a tad saline.
