Made from Pinot Noir grapes, the wine ages for 18 months in new-wood barriques and then for a year in the bottle. It has a luminous, ruby-garnet color and an assorted bouquet with scents of currant, raspberry and roses. The delicious aromatic and balsamic accents place it between a Cote de Beaune and a Williamette Valley wine. The mouthfeel is unexpectedly harmonious with a delectable sweetness from the extracts that make it elegant, velvet and without any tartness. It has a medium body and is agile, engagingly drinkable and has a warm and wrapping finish. One of the best Pinot Noir made outside Burgundy’s ‘golden vineyards’.
