A bizzare growing season that resulted in an abundant production necessitating a sharp selection for the great wines. Harvest took place October 8-14.
A dark, ruby-garnet color with an aroma of flowers and orange as well as verbena, rhubarb and mint. The mouthfeel is very bold with biting tannins (not as much as the 2006) and a finish that was dominated by dark notes of rhubarb and yet fresh. This vintage has a long life ahead of it and needs a few more years in the bottle.
