Here is another sweet wine that Italy can be proud of because it stands up the world’s best. It has a distinct amber color that is almost mahogany and has an incredible intensity, as does its sweetness. The attack of the aroma is so intense it is almost traumatic with its notes of toasted hazelnut, walnut husk and oriental spice all which alternate and seem to be fleeting in the glass. The mouthfeel is truly bold, as sweet as syrup but counter-balanced by an exceptional acidity that makes it lively and never sickly sweet. For sure this needs to be consumed in medicinal doses to keep your triglyceride levels down. A sensorial marvel. *375ml bottles.
