Cinzia Travaglini is the heir of a iconic family for Gattinara. For over half a century they have produced and exported it worldwide with great success. The Riserva 2006, a very hot year in Piedmont, is a fantastic expression of one of the more northern and generally colder areas of the region, which allows the Nebbiolo grape to ripen to perfection. The result is a a red wine with an intense garnet color, a bouquet of black cherry, tobacco, rose and slight smoked notes in the background. The taste is distinct, salty, full, warm and persistent.
