The color is intense and dark with very youthful purple reflections. The bouquet is clear, intense and with an exemplary purity of expression. There are scents of ripe cherry, pomegranate and a slight volatile note that helps enhance the aroma without disturbing it. The nose then shifts towards orange, both the fruit and peel, with a very intriguing hint of cinchona. The mouthfeel is quite tasty and flavorful with a nice acidity and velvety texture with evident yet elegant tannins. There is an aftertaste of kirsch in the finish that was excellent but could have been more dense and persistent.
