A relatively dark, ruby color with distinct garnet nuances. The attack of the aroma is decidedly oxidized but it clears up and opens with breathing offering notes of rhubarb and prune, both dried and as jam. The mouthfeel is bold, rustic and has a slightly bitter finish yet the wine stands out for its splendid integrity and originality.
