A blend of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Matures for 18 months in French oak. Deep ruby. Intense, almost sweet nose, with violets and ripe blackberries and blueberries, and faint balsamic hints. Full and rounded on the palate, with marked tannins and an aftertaste of bitter cocoa.
