Montecivoli Morellino di Scansano Docg 2010

Less than 5,000 bottles are produced of this organic of this Sangiovese with a tad of Alicante. The color is dark and compact, the aroma, after a prudent start, opens to classic scents of marasca cherry and darker ones of tobacco and leather making it a little rustic but interesting. The flavor has a nice attack, full-bodied, austere, with lively and slightly aggressive tannins. The length is excellent.
