Monte Brullo 2008

Here is a Sangiovese from Romagna that can holds its own with the great ones from Tuscany. It has a nicely concentrated ruby color. The bouquet is unusual yet very personal with scents of spice and wild flowers, iodine and salty notes. The mouthfeel is full-bodied, rich in texture, young but very enjoyable. An extraordinary Sangiovese from outside Tuscany by a producer who we will hear a lot about in the future but who is already one of the best Sangiovese interpreters in Romagna.
