This was perhaps the most ‘whispered’ wine of the three and was made with grapes from 50-year-old vines selected with maniacal care by Mauro.
It is amazing how this wine unites personality and elegance to perfection. It has a lively, luminous and transparent red color that is not excessively bold while the bouquet is multifaceted and varied with hematic and balsamic notes and marine sensations. The aroma gradually becomes more complex with distinct spicy scents along with those of roots, berries and crushed rose. The variety and great intensity that evolve in the glass is formidable. The mouthfeel is what you would expect after so much stimulations with thick, almost ‘happy’ tannins that grab the palate and are almost ‘dense’. It is impossible not to be impressed by so much substance which is offered with unique elegance and depth.
