Monprà 1995

The colour was a still intact red with just a few garnet reflections. It had a very nice, well-expressed nose, which had left behind the not especially appealing hints of enamel and lacquer it had once displayed and which were characteristic of the producers belonging to the Langa In group in the ‘90s, with their sometimes overbearing use of wood. The flavour was rounded and mouth-filling, with well-integrated, velvety tannins. It was a (pleasant) surprise for everyone.
